Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs and condition changes accurately and promptly
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans and communicate resident needs
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in resident charts and facility records
- Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety procedures
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful, person-centered care
- Pitch in as a team player during busy times and help maintain smooth shift transitions
Qualifications
- Current New Hampshire LNA certification or equivalent required
- CPR/BLS certification required or willing to obtain prior to start
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but new grads with strong references considered
- Ability to work evenings 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM for the contract period
- Valid background check, TB test and required immunizations per facility policy
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of state-approved nursing assistant training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in resident care and assisting with ADLs
- Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with basic electronic charting and paper documentation
- Knowledge of infection prevention, safe patient handling, and resident rights
- Good time management, teamwork, and clear communication with clinical staff
