Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes in condition
- Assist with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility support
- Document care provided in a clear, timely manner and communicate with the care team
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and dignified environment for each resident
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state required)
- Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and requisite health screenings/immunizations
- Comfortable performing physical aspects of resident care and working evening hours
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work well on a team
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient-centered care and basic nursing skills
- Assistance with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
- Vital signs measurement and documentation
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Clear communication and basic charting
- Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced care environment
