Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility support, and fall prevention
- Maintain clear, timely documentation to support continuity of care
- Follow infection prevention and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
- Collaborate with the care team to support individualized care plans and resident dignity
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain quickly)
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but new grads welcome
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in personal care and resident assistance
- Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs
- Knowledge of infection control and safety best practices
- Ability to follow care plans and accurately report observations
- Good teamwork, time management, and respectful resident communication
