Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Document care and patient interactions accurately and timely
- Support a safe, clean environment and follow infection control procedures
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
- Help create a positive experience for residents and their families through respectful communication and empathy
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Maine (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or similar setting is a plus
- Ability to work the specified PM shift (2:45 PM – 11:00 PM) on 12/25/2025
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to handle physical aspects of the role
- Clear background check and any required facility screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and active CNA credential
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care best practices
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to follow care plans and direction from licensed nurses
