Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care with compassion and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in residents condition to nursing staff
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Support mealtime assistance and documentation of intake when required
- Collaborate with the care team to follow care plans and promote positive outcomes
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification valid in the state of Maine
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Compassionate attitude, strong communication, and teamwork skills
- Previous experience in long term care or similar setting preferred but not required
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic nursing care skills and safe resident handling
- Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
- Accurate documentation and observation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and resident-centered care approach
- Ability to follow care plans and direction from nursing staff
