Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during assigned shifts
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Assess residents' conditions and communicate changes promptly to the care team
- Document care and observations in the medical record clearly and timely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
- Support residents' activities of daily living with dignity and respect
- Follow facility policies and state regulations to maintain quality and safety
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Maine (or active LPN license if applying as LPN)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Valid immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a team
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN for RN; LPN certificate/diploma for LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation
- Basic wound care and IV/medication monitoring (as applicable)
- Electronic health record charting
- Resident assessment and care planning
- Infection control and safety practices
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
