Hours per Week: Per-diem; single shift ~7.75 hours (6:45 AM - 3:00 PM with 30-minute meal). Weekly hours vary based on picked shifts.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility and ambulation to promote independence
- Support hygiene and grooming needs while preserving resident dignity
- Document care, observations and interventions promptly and clearly
- Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver consistent, person-centered care
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
- Communicate respectfully with residents, families and team members to ensure excellent care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Maine (required)
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements (immunizations, TB screening)
- Comfort with lifting and assisting residents; ability to stand and walk during shift
- Reliable, punctual, and available to work the scheduled date 12/25/2025
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs including bathing, dressing and toileting
- Accurate vital sign measurement and resident observation
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Teamwork and effective communication with interdisciplinary staff
- Time management to ensure timely, prioritized resident care
- Familiarity with long-term care resident needs and routines
