Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to residents/patients during assigned shift
- Perform thorough assessments and document changes in condition clearly and promptly
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, following facility policies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to support quality outcomes
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper records in a timely fashion
- Support a positive environment that promotes dignity, respect and independence
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license in Maine (LPN or RN applicants welcome)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or related setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
- Professional, reliable, and able to work independently on assigned shifts
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Resident/patient assessment and care planning
- Basic wound care and infection prevention
- Electronic medical record (EMR) charting and accurate documentation
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and the ability to prioritize during busy shifts
