Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with professionalism and warmth
- Perform thorough assessments and document patient status accurately
- Administer medications and treatments safely, following policy and physician orders
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care team members to coordinate care
- Maintain clear, timely electronic health record documentation
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly
- Support patient and family education to promote recovery and wellness
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license in the state of Maryland (must be current and in good standing)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Previous acute care or ambulatory care experience preferred (1+ year recommended)
- Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program or ADN/BSN program for RNs
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Safe medication administration and documentation
- Basic wound care and dressing changes
- Familiarity with EHR charting and clinical documentation
- Infection control and safety best practices
- Effective communication, time management, and teamwork
