Shift Type: Rotating 7-on/7-off (rotation may start Wednesday or Thursday), 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM, includes weekends — day shift coverage

Candidate Pay Rate: $83 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure safe, efficient operations
- Verify medication orders with accuracy and clinical judgment
- Manage medication distribution and product checking across the central pharmacy
- Document clinical interventions and maintain clear, professional clinical documentation
- Answer clinical questions from nurses and providers to support bedside care
- Operate and optimize use of Talyst, Pyxis, LAFW, CAI and other central pharmacy equipment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support pediatric and adult pharmaceutical care
Qualifications
- Active RPh license in North Carolina (required)
- Minimum 2 years hospital pharmacy experience
- Experience overseeing and directing the work of pharmacy technicians
- Familiarity with central pharmacy operations, order verification, and medication distribution
- ACLS certification preferred if you will be working in the Emergency Department (not required)
- Cerner and Vigilanz experience preferred; Talyst/Pyxis experience highly desirable
- Comfort working a 7-on/7-off rotating schedule that includes weekends
Knowledge & Skills
- Order verification and clinical documentation best practices
- Medication distribution workflows and product checking
- Experience with Talyst, Pyxis systems and CAI workflows
- Laminar airflow workbench (LAFW) aseptic techniques
- EMR knowledge: Cerner and Vigilanz
- Strong supervisory and team leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and perform well in high-stress clinical environments
