Shift Type: Rotating 7 on / 7 off, 5:00 PM - 4:30 AM NOC (includes weekends; rotation may start Wednesday or Thursday)
Hours per Week: 58
Candidate Pay Rate: $83 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and coordinate central pharmacy workflow to ensure safe, timely medication delivery
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently, using Cerner and other clinical tools
- Manage product checking and medication distribution (Pyxis/Talyst) to support inpatient care
- Provide clinical pharmacy support by answering medication questions from nurses and providers
- Document clinical interventions and maintain clear, regulatory-compliant records
- Support medication management policies and contribute to a high-functioning pharmacy team
Qualifications
- Active RPh license in North Carolina (required)
- Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience (preferred and listed)
- Experience overseeing and directing pharmacy technicians
- Comfortable working 3rd shift / night shift in a busy central pharmacy
- Familiarity with Cerner, Pyxis, Talyst, and EMR-based medication verification
- ACLS certification/experience is a plus if you'll float to the Emergency Department
Knowledge & Skills
- Central pharmacy operations and medication distribution
- Order verification and clinical documentation best practices
- Cerner EMR and Vigilanz familiarity
- Automation systems: Pyxis and Talyst
- Lab airflow and sterility awareness (LAFW, CAI)
- Strong communication and teamwork in high-stress hospital settings
