Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess adult patients and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans
- Provide safe medication administration and timely treatments
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate appropriately
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and promote self-care
- Advocate for patient needs while maintaining a compassionate bedside manner
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) - current license required
- Clinical experience in adult medical-surgical nursing preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
- Comfortable with electronic charting and working in a fast-paced hospital environment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medical-surgical nursing best practices and adult care principles
- Patient assessment and clinical monitoring
- Medication administration and IV therapy familiarity
- Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
- Time management, prioritization, and safe delegation
