Shift Type: Rotating nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, includes weekends (4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage telemetry patients with clinical precision and compassionate care
- Provide post-procedure care for patients coming from the EP lab and cath lab
- Administer medications, titrations and IV drips (gtts) safely and per protocol
- Document thoroughly and efficiently in Cerner to maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and adjust care plans
- Act calmly and decisively during emergencies and rapid response situations
- Support unit flow and patient assignments, stepping into charge duties when needed
- Educate patients and families on condition, procedures and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Active RN license valid for practice in North Carolina (compact license accepted where applicable)
- Minimum 2 years recent nursing experience, with PCU/Telemetry or Step Down preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Experience with telemetry monitoring, post-EP and post-cath care
- Comfortable using Cerner or similar electronic medical record systems
- Charge experience is a plus and will be considered favorably
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Post-procedure care for EP lab and cath lab patients
- Med-Surg and Step Down unit workflows and patient ratios (typically 3-4:1 RN)
- IV medication titration, drips and sheath management
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR documentation
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization and teamwork skills
- Flexible, calm approach to changing patient acuity and unit needs
