Shift Type: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM), three nights per week, includes every-other weekend and holiday coverage, floating between like units as needed

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and implement evidence-based respiratory care for adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Manage ventilators and advanced airway care while collaborating with the ICU team
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide critical interventions during night shifts
• Document treatments and patient responses in Epic accurately and timely
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Support unit needs by floating between like units as required by the facility

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as an RRT, preferably with ICU exposure
• Comfortable caring for both pediatric and adult critical care patients
• Experience using Epic for charting is highly desirable
• Willingness to work nights, weekends (every other), and holidays as scheduled
• Able to float to meet facility needs between like units

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and respiratory intervention skills in critical care
• Ventilator management and airway support proficiency
• Familiarity with Epic electronic charting
• Clear communication and teamwork in a fast-paced trauma/teaching hospital
• Ability to prioritize and respond to emergencies during night shift
