Shift Type: Friday–Monday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (Mid shift; primarily 4x8s with every-other-week 12-hour shifts; weekend coverage every other week) - day shift
Hours per Week: 43
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care for acute inpatient rehab patients, including adolescents through geriatrics
- Manage IV therapy, start and maintain IVs, and administer blood and blood products safely
- Perform tracheostomy care and management, including suctioning and supplemental oxygen delivery
- Oversee feeding tube and PEG tube care and follow swallowing precautions
- Care for central lines (PICC) and assist with port management
- Implement mobilization techniques and use lift/transfer devices to aid patient mobility and recovery
- Assess and prevent pressure ulcers, perform diabetic teaching, and support fall-risk prevention
- Document care accurately in Epic and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for best patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active RN license valid for the assignment location (out-of-state licenses or pending licensure policies applied per manager discretion)
- Minimum 4 years of nursing experience; strong acute inpatient rehab or long-term care background is a plus
- BLS required (preferred as noted in the job details)
- Comfortable with Epic charting (preferred)
- Experience with IV therapy, tracheostomy care, feeding tubes/PEG management, and central line (PICC) care
- Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs and cover every-other-weekend schedule
- First-time travel nurses accepted; travel experience is not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Acute inpatient rehab assessment and care planning
- IV therapy and blood product administration
- Tracheostomy and airway management, including oral/nasotracheal suctioning and pulse oximetry
- Feeding tube and PEG tube care, swallowing precautions
- Central line (PICC) care and port management
- Mobilization techniques, use of lift/transfer devices, and assistive devices for joint replacement and ortho patients
- Pressure ulcer assessment/prevention, diabetic teaching, and CVA/stroke care
- Foley catheter removal, incentive spirometry, and supplemental oxygen delivery
