Registered Nurse - Acute Inpatient Rehab
Location: Seattle, WA
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Mid shift (Evening), Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM; weekend coverage every-other-weekend required. Rotation option: Friday-Monday 4x8s with every-other-week 12-hour weekend shifts (evening coverage). Shift type: day (mid/evening)
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for adults and geriatrics in an acute inpatient rehab setting
- Manage IV therapy, ports and PICC lines, and administer blood and blood products safely
- Perform tracheostomy and feeding tube care and lead suctioning and oxygenation interventions
- Use Epic to document care accurately and communicate changes in patient condition
- Teach patients and families essential self-care and discharge planning to support recovery
- Collaborate with PT, RT, pharmacy and interdisciplinary teams to optimize functional outcomes
- Assess and prevent pressure ulcers, falls, and other safety risks while promoting mobilization
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state licensure for Washington). Pending licenses may be considered per facility policy
- Minimum 4 years of nursing experience, with strong acute inpatient rehab or skilled nursing experience preferred
- BLS required; other certifications (advanced cardiac or specialty) a plus
- Experience with Epic or similar electronic charting systems preferred
- Comfort with IV therapy, central line care (PICC), tracheostomy and feeding tube management
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs and work every-other-weekend schedule
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Acute inpatient rehab care and skilled nursing competencies
- IV therapy, starting and maintaining IVs, and administration of blood products
- Tracheostomy care and oral/nasotracheal suctioning
- Feeding tube/PEG care and swallowing precautions
- Incentive spirometry, pulse oximetry and supplemental oxygen delivery
- Pressure ulcer assessment/prevention, fall risk assessment, and mobility/assistive device techniques
- Strong patient teaching and interdisciplinary communication skills
- Familiarity with Epic charting workflows
