Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity bedside care for adult ICU patients, managing complex multisystem conditions
• Safely manage ventilators and respiratory support including HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and ventilator care
• Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips while continuously assessing hemodynamic status
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and implement appropriate interventions
• Perform and manage vascular access including arterial lines, central lines, PICCs, and IV therapy
• Administer blood products and monitor for reactions per facility protocols
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify dysrhythmias, and respond to emergencies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and float between like units as needed to meet patient care demands

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of California required (pending licenses are not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU or high-acuity nursing experience preferred; first-timers are welcome to apply
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS required
• Certifications like CPI and MAB are a plus
• Comfortable with Epic charting and electronic documentation
• Ability to work night shifts and meet weekend coverage requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of ventilator management and care of the ventilated patient
• Experience with arterial line and central line care and troubleshooting
• Skilled in ABG interpretation and titration of vasoactive/cardiac drips
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, and emergency response
• Familiarity with blood product administration and transfusion safety
• Ability to assist with chest tube care and manage high-flow and noninvasive respiratory support
• Experience or exposure to advanced modalities (ECMO, IABP, TAVR) is a plus
