Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality radiation therapy treatments using TrueBeam and Elekta Versa HD, ensuring patient safety and precise dose delivery
- Operate CT simulator (GE LightSpeed) for accurate treatment planning and perform CT simulation procedures
- Perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging for daily setup verification and make clinically appropriate adjustments
- Conduct pretreatment chart checks and collaborate with dosimetry and physicians to confirm treatment parameters
- Provide compassionate patient and family education about procedures, positioning, and safety — your communication matters
- Respond professionally to emergency cases and activate rapid response/code teams as needed
- Maintain radiation safety protocols, follow isolation precautions, and document care in the charting system (Epic/ARIA/MOSAIQ)
- Support a cohesive team environment with clear handoffs and interdisciplinary collaboration
Qualifications
- Current California state Radiation Therapist license (required)
- ARRT (T) certification required; ARRT R preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of radiation therapy experience (adult inpatient/outpatient experience preferred)
- Proven experience with ARIA and/or MOSAIQ charting systems
- Hands-on experience with TrueBeam and Elekta Versa HD (two machines on site) and CT simulation
- Comfortable with imaging modalities (CBCT/kV/mV) and emergency case response
- Local candidates accepted; pending state license is not accepted
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or Radiologic Technology (or equivalent)
- Completion of an accredited radiation therapy program
Knowledge & Skills
- Radiation therapy treatment delivery and patient positioning
- CT simulation and treatment planning workflows
- CBCT/kV/mV imaging and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT)
- IMRT, SRS/SBRT workflows and stereotactic treatment support
- HDR afterloader and superficial Xoft familiarity is a plus
- Chart checking, Epic/ARIA/MOSAIQ documentation
- Radiation safety, isolation precautions, and rapid response procedures
- Strong patient education and communication skills
