Roles & Responsibilities
- Scrub during interventional radiology procedures with a strong focus on cerebral cases
- Set up procedure rooms and equipment, including vascular closure devices (Perclose, StarClose)
- Serve as room circulator or scrub to maintain the sterile field and procedural flow
- Assist with a wide range of endovascular and image-guided procedures (angiography, embolization, stent placement, IVC filter procedures)
- Support patient care before, during and after procedures with clear, accurate documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality care
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (posting also notes first-timers accepted)
- Cerebral scrubbing experience required
- Current California state license required (pending licenses are not accepted)
- Fluoro permit required
- BLS certification required
- On-call availability required: minimum 12 call days per 6-week schedule including weekends
- Charting system experience required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in interventional radiology procedures: angiography, pelvic/renal/hepatic angiography
- Experience with embolization, chemoembolization, angioplasty and stent placement
- IVC filter placement and removal skills
- Procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, liver biopsy, nephrostomy and ureteral stent placement
- Familiarity with endovascular interventions and vascular closure systems
- Ability to function as scrub and room circulator and maintain sterile technique
