Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical function and create individualized treatment plans
- Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions and progress tracking
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Document patient progress accurately and communicate changes in condition
- Educate patients and families on exercises, safety, and home programs to support recovery
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist license in New Mexico (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a New Mexico caregivers account as required by the facility
- Clear background check and compliance with facility credentialing requirements
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree in Physical Therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven clinical skills in physical therapy assessment and treatment techniques
- Familiarity with documentation best practices and electronic medical records
- Knowledge of fall prevention, mobility training, and therapeutic exercise prescription
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team
