Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents according to plan of care
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes promptly
- Document care and observations in the patient chart with clarity and accuracy
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and care team members to ensure continuity of care
- Support patient and family education to promote comfort, safety, and understanding
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and a positive facility environment
Qualifications
- Active LPN license (or eligible to obtain licensure) — North Carolina licensure preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- Comfortable and experienced working overnight/nocshift schedules
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-centered mindset
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program; high school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Wound care basics and transfers/ambulation assistance
- Electronic charting and clear clinical documentation
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in urgent situations
