Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living, helping residents maintain dignity and comfort
- Perform safe transfers, ambulation support, and mobility assistance to promote independence
- Monitor residents and report changes in condition promptly to nursing staff to ensure timely intervention
- Assist with feeding, personal care, grooming, and toileting with respect and sensitivity
- Document care activities accurately and clearly to keep the team informed
- Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures to protect residents and coworkers
- Support a positive resident experience by building rapport and delivering personalized attention
Qualifications
- Valid LNA certification (State of New Hampshire or transferable) — required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or similar settings is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality resident-centered care
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completed LNA training program and current certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic resident care principles and ADLs
- Comfortable with safe body mechanics and resident transfers
- Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to recognize and report changes in resident condition
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
