Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients to develop individualized treatment plans that restore mobility and function
- Deliver hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercise to help patients reach meaningful goals
- Document patient progress clearly and timely in clinical records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe activity progression
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient response and outcomes
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Maine or eligible to obtain state licensure
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Comfortable delivering outpatient orthopedic and neuro-rehabilitation care
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor’s or Master's in Physical Therapy accepted where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and manual therapy skills
- Familiarity with therapeutic exercise prescription and progression
- Proficient documentation skills and use of electronic medical records
- Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time efficiently
- Knowledge of safety practices for patient transfers and mobility
