Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered occupational therapy evaluations and interventions to promote independence
- Develop and implement meaningful treatment plans based on assessment and patient goals
- Document progress clearly and timely in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate high-quality care
- Educate patients and families on strategies, adaptive equipment, and home safety
- Adjust therapy plans responsively based on patient progress and clinical findings
Qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapy license valid for practice in Washington
- Active NBCOT certification or eligibility preferred
- Recent experience working with adult rehabilitation or skilled nursing populations is a plus
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility credentialing requirements
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Education
- Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in related field considered if current licensure is held
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in ADL/IADL assessment and intervention planning
- Proficient with mobility and adaptive equipment recommendations
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques for strength, ROM, and functional independence
- Comfortable using electronic health record systems for documentation
- Excellent clinical reasoning and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Ability to individualize care and provide patient/family education
