Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic exams across a wide range of modalities including abdomen, chest, extremities, spine and pelvis
- Operate fluoroscopy and mobile/C-arm equipment safely and effectively
- Prepare and administer contrast media following protocol and safety guidelines
- Start peripheral IVs when required and assist with contrast delivery during procedures
- Document exams and patient care accurately in Epic and PACS systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and maintain equipment readiness
- Provide compassionate patient care to all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
Qualifications
- Valid California Radiologic Technologist license required
- ARRT (R) certification required
- Fluoroscopy permit required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of radiology experience required
- Travel experience not required; first-time travelers accepted
- Pending license not accepted — active CA license must be in hand
- Locals accepted
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with Epic charting and PACS workflows
- Fluoroscopy studies including upper GI, contrast enemas and barium swallows
- Portable and mobile imaging, C-arm procedures and OR support
- Strong skills in abdomen, chest, spine and upper/lower extremity imaging
- Experience with GE and Toshiba imaging systems and Fuji Synapse
- Preparation and administration of contrast media and IV starts
- Ability to float between like units and cover on-call responsibilities
