Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one physical therapy evaluations and skilled treatments to help patients regain mobility and independence
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on functional goals and clinical best practices
- Perform gait training, therapeutic exercise, balance and fall-prevention programs
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Document patient progress clearly and promptly in the medical record
- Educate patients and families on safe techniques, home exercise programs, and injury prevention
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Washington state (or eligible to obtain WA license)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous inpatient or acute care experience preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
- Ability to work day shifts; open to PRN or full-time arrangements
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy accepted
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment, therapeutic exercise, and gait training
- Strong clinical reasoning and goal-oriented treatment planning
- Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical record systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt treatments to varied patient needs and acuity levels
