Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services under the direction of licensed OTs
- Carry out individualized treatment plans focused on ADLs and functional skills
- Work directly with patients to improve mobility, coordination, and safety in daily activities
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with facility standards
- Support, educate, and motivate patients and families on therapy goals and home strategies
Qualifications
- Active California COTA license required
- Comfortable working in a skilled nursing facility environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with therapists and staff
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with the ability to encourage patients through rehabilitation
Knowledge & Skills
- Occupational Therapy principles and patient care best practices
- Skilled in ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and functional skills training
- Clear and effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
- Patient education and motivation techniques
- Documentation and compliance with clinical standards
