Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic CT examinations using GE VCT 64 and GE Revolution 128 scanners
• Operate imaging systems and PACS (McKesson) and document studies in EPIC promptly and accurately
• Maintain radiation safety protocols (radiation badge provided) and follow infection control policies
• Collaborate with ED, OR, Endoscopy and other departments to coordinate timely imaging for patients
• Float to and assist in CT, X‑ray, OR, Endoscopy and ED as needed to support department workflow
• Provide compassionate patient care, including patient positioning, contrast administration, and monitoring
• Participate in call/standby rotations and respond within required response times
• Complete quality control checks, equipment logs, and required documentation

Qualifications

• ARRT-CT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CT (or related) experience
• Valid driver’s license required at time of submittal (used for 50-mile radius verification)
• Must not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility
• Willingness to float to CT, XR, OR, Endoscopy and ED; flexible availability for nights, weekends, holidays
• Adherence to facility policies (example: no artificial nails in patient care areas)

Education

• Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent); ARRT-CT required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven experience with GE VCT 64 slice and GE Revolution 128 slice CT scanners
• Comfortable using EPIC for charting and McKesson PACS for image review
• Strong patient positioning and cross-sectional imaging skills
• Familiarity with X-ray, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and Interventional Radiology workflows (preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment and handle trauma imaging
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
