Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM day shift with on-call responsibilities. Weekday call: 4-5 days per pay period (call coverage extends from end of shift to 7:30 AM the following scheduled day). Weekend call: 1 weekend per month; weekend call coverage is from end of shift Friday through Monday 7:30 AM.

Hours per Week: 42.5 hrs per week

Candidate Pay Rate: $68.60/hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist with and support cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety
• Monitor hemodynamics and cardiac rhythms; intervene and escalate promptly when changes occur
• Prepare patients and procedural areas, including equipment checks and inventory management
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, technologists, and the peri-procedural team to deliver coordinated care
• Provide patient and family education before, during, and after procedures to promote recovery and understanding
• Respond effectively to emergencies and participate in rapid response situations as needed
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record and complete required checklists

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana (or ability to obtain)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, NIHSS, CPI
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and license/certification verification
• Ability to pass required health screenings: TB/PPD or IGRA, immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza), drug screen, fit test, color vision, and other Trinity health requirements
• Strong clinical judgment and prior experience in cardiac catheterization or interventional cardiology preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced procedural environment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with cath lab workflow, sterile technique, and procedural instrumentation
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, ECG interpretation, and hemodynamic assessment
• Skilled in patient assessment, sedation monitoring, and post-procedure care
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and completing procedural documentation
• Team-oriented approach with strong situational awareness and critical thinking
