Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform special procedures in the radiology suite with attention to patient safety and image quality
• Prepare patients and necessary equipment for fluoroscopy and interventional imaging procedures
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to facilitate efficient, high-quality patient care
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols during procedures
• Document procedures, contrast administration, and patient responses accurately and timely
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, and monitoring during procedures to ensure comfort and safety
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment and escalate technical issues to biomedical services when needed

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Radiologic Technologist license or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• ARRT certification in Radiography preferred or registry-eligible
• Minimum 2 years of radiology experience; special procedures experience highly valued
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Comfortable working with fluoroscopy/interventional equipment and contrast agents
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology, or equivalent accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in radiographic and special procedures techniques, including fluoroscopy
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and ALARA practices
• Familiarity with sterile field setup and procedural instrumentation
• Ability to accurately position patients and obtain diagnostic images
• Competent documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) usage
• Calm under pressure and skilled in patient communication and comfort
