Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality image acquisition and fluoroscopic support for interventional radiology procedures
• Prepare patients and equipment for IR procedures, maintaining sterile technique and patient safety
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and radiation safety
• Monitor patients during procedures, communicating findings and concerns to the clinical team
• Accurately document procedures, contrast usage and patient records in the electronic chart
• Collaborate with interventional radiologists, nurses and support staff to deliver efficient, compassionate care
• Maintain inventory of supplies and assist with equipment cleaning and QA tasks

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification or equivalent
• Active Texas state radiologic technologist license (or eligible to obtain prior to start)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology or related vascular/interventional imaging
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Comfortable with fluoroscopy, contrast administration support, and sterile procedural environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced procedural suite

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent (ARTR/ARRT certification required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with fluoroscopy and digital imaging systems (PACS, RIS familiarity a plus)
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and ALARA practices
• Skilled in patient positioning for interventional procedures and catheter-based imaging
• Familiarity with sterile technique, contrast media handling, and emergency procedure protocols
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and time-management skills
