Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology imaging and assist physicians during procedures with attention and precision
- Operate and maintain fluoroscopy and digital imaging equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, including monitoring vitals and following sterile technique
- Prepare procedure rooms and maintain accurate patient and procedure documentation
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and support staff to deliver coordinated, high-quality care
- Educate patients and families about procedures and provide compassionate support
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology (as listed)
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification preferred or ARRT eligible
- Current state radiologic technologist license for Texas (or ability to obtain)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained upon start
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced procedural environment and following sterile protocols
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred
- ARRT certification preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and imaging modalities
- Proficient with fluoroscopy, image acquisition, and radiation safety principles
- Skilled in patient positioning, sterile technique, and procedural support
- Good communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and patients
- Attention to detail for documentation, inventory, and equipment checks
