Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team by performing core OR tech duties as a circulating or scrub tech when needed
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field, instruments, and equipment for a high-volume OR
• Anticipate surgeon needs and hand instruments efficiently to support excellent patient outcomes
• Document case activity and chart in Cerner Surginet accurately and promptly
• Participate in the call rotation and support case flow during assigned shifts
• Adhere to hospital-specific OR processes and safety protocols for every procedure

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience (explicit requirement)
• BLS certification required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (per job posting)
• Cerner Surginet experience strongly preferred
• Ability to scrub is a plus (preferred but not required)
• Experience with robotic surgery, cardiovascular (CV) cases, and orthopedic total joint cases is preferred when applicable

Education

• No BSN required (explicitly stated)
• BLS certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Operating room procedures and sterile technique
• Circulating and scrub tech duties
• Proficiency or familiarity with EMR: Cerner Surginet
• Comfort supporting high case volumes (15-25 cases/day) and varied case types
• Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail in high-acuity settings
• Familiarity with orthopedic, neuro/spine, general, gynecology, urology, and ENT cases
