Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality inpatient physical therapy interventions to help patients regain mobility and independence
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver hands-on therapy and progressive therapeutic exercises tailored to patient goals
- Document patient status, progress, and discharge plans accurately and on time
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families on safe mobility, home programs, and fall prevention
- Ensure equipment is used and maintained safely to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist license in the state of practice or ability to obtain NC licensure
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in physical therapy, with inpatient experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Therapy, DPT preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Inpatient rehabilitation principles and patient mobility training
- Gait training, transfers, and use of assistive devices
- Therapeutic exercise and modalities relevant to acute care
- Skilled documentation and discharge planning
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary care team
