IR Technologist - Interventional Radiology

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 10-hour day shifts (typical start times: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM), 4x10 schedule with rotating days off; Weeknight on-call 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM (1-2 nights/week); Weekend on-call rotation (~1 weekend/month; call covers Fri 6:00 PM - Mon 7:00 AM). Rotating (day shifts with on-call nights/weekends).
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $86 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate for the full range of Interventional Radiology procedures, including neuro IR and vascular cases
- Participate as an active member of the call team and respond within the 30-minute call window
- Operate and troubleshoot department equipment, primarily Philips imaging systems and CT/IR scanners
- Collaborate closely with IR nurses, radiologists, and surgeons to deliver safe, efficient patient care
- Document procedures and chart using Cerner EMR, GE Centricity RIS, and Philips Intellispace PACS
- Maintain readiness for stroke cases by keeping one room available and supporting rapid-response workflows
- Complete orientation modules and work with an assigned preceptor to integrate into the team
Qualifications
- Valid ARRT (R) certification (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
- Washington State license (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Radiation badge provided by traveler (must supply own badge)
- Minimum 1 year of IR tech experience (travel experience preferred)
- IV certification preferred but not required
- Experience in a stroke-receiving facility and Hybrid OR experience are a plus
Education
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program and ARRT (R) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Cerner EMR for charting and documentation
- Familiarity with GE Centricity RIS and Philips Intellispace PACS
- Hands-on experience with Philips imaging equipment and CT/IR scanners
- Skilled in scrubbing and circulating for IR procedures
- Comfortable working in Hybrid OR environments and supporting stroke workflows
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, acute care setting and handle on-call responsibilities
