Roles & Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate during a full range of interventional radiology cases including neuro IR, vascular, and hybrid OR procedures
- Work as a core member of the call team and respond within 30 minutes when on-call
- Collaborate closely with neuro and vascular surgeons and in-house radiologists to ensure excellent patient care
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment including biplane and single-plane rooms and Philips systems
- Document procedures accurately in Cerner, GE Centricity RIS, and Philips Intellispace PACS
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and radiation protection practices — travelers must provide their radiation badge
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) certification required
- Washington state radiologic technologist license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of IR experience required; travel experience and stroke-receiving facility experience preferred
- IV certification preferred but not required (IR RNs typically start IVs)
- Comfort scrubbing and circulating in a high-acuity IR/hybrid OR environment and participating on call teams
Education
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program or equivalent
- No BSN required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Cerner EMR, GE Centricity RIS, and Philips Intellispace PACS
- Experience with Philips radiology equipment and biplane/single-plane angiography suites
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and radiologists
- Ability to function on a 4x10 schedule and manage call responsibilities
- Commitment to radiation safety and infection control protocols
