Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate radiology equipment and assist with special procedures to deliver safe, high-quality imaging
- Prepare patients and explain procedures clearly to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Position patients and equipment accurately to capture diagnostic images
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to support procedural flow
- Maintain sterile technique and safe handling of instruments during procedures
- Document procedures and findings accurately in the patient record
- Participate in quality assurance and equipment checks to maintain high standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in special procedures or radiology
- Current Florida radiologic technologist license or state-required licensure
- ARRT certification preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Proven experience with special procedures and working in a fast-paced imaging environment
- Strong communication skills and patient-focused bedside manner
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field, or equivalent clinical experience
Knowledge & Skills
- Fluoroscopy and special procedures imaging techniques
- Patient positioning and radiation safety best practices
- Familiarity with PACS, imaging workflows, and electronic health records
- Ability to assist physicians during interventional procedures
- Sterile technique, infection control, and safe specimen handling
