Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Shift Type: Day shifts (8- or 10-hour shifts, schedule determined with clinician to meet guaranteed hours). Rotating coverage between Bryan and College Station (16 minutes apart); includes weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation with a 30-minute response requirement.
Hours per Week: 40 hrs per week
Candidate Pay Rate: $63.00/hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine studies including cardiac, HIDA, bone scans, gastric emptying, GI bleed, lung, brain death, and DAT scans
- Start IVs as required for nuclear medicine procedures and ensure safe patient care
- Operate and maintain department equipment (Siemens Symbia T6) and follow radiation safety protocols
- Use MEDITECH and Fuji Synapse PACS for charting and image management
- Float between Bryan and College Station campuses as first-to-float when needed
- Respond to on-call requests within the required 30-minute window and provide timely, high-quality imaging services
- Contribute to a team-focused environment and adhere to department call-out and attendance expectations
Qualifications
- BLS certification required
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) required; Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist (NMTCB-NCT) verification preferred/required as listed
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (per job posting)
- Comfortable starting IVs and performing a range of nuclear medicine procedures
- Willingness to float between campuses and participate in on-call rotations
- Able to complete department-specific orientation (approximately 12 hours) prior to start
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with MEDITECH charting system
- Experience with Fuji Synapse PACS
- Familiarity with Siemens Symbia T6 and standard nuclear medicine scanners
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Knowledge of radiation safety and nuclear medicine imaging protocols
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced acute care setting
