Roles & Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare EP/Cath Lab procedure rooms and specialized equipment prior to cases
- Assist physicians and the care team during electrophysiology procedures and cardiac interventions
- Operate and monitor imaging and mapping equipment used in EP studies
- Ensure strict adherence to sterile technique and radiation safety practices
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report changes promptly to the clinical team
- Maintain accurate procedural documentation and inventory of supplies
- Collaborate with technologists, nurses, and physicians to optimize patient care and throughput
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of EP/Cath Lab or related Radiology experience (as listed in the job data)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred or as required by facility
- Experience with EP lab equipment and cardiac monitoring
- Comfort with sterile technique, catheterization procedures, and imaging workflows
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Relevant state licensure/certification as required (will assist with licensure reimbursement)
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited EP/Cath Lab or radiology tech program preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with electrophysiology procedures, cardiac mapping, and catheter-based interventions
- Proficiency in patient monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
- Knowledge of radiology safety and imaging equipment operation
- Excellent aseptic technique and attention to infection control
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and maintain inventory
