Shift Type: Evenings, 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM, 8-hour shifts, every other weekend (EOW), evening/night shift, 40 hours/week

Candidate Pay Rate: $77.00/hr (candidate pay rate)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT exams (strokes, traumagrams, head, chest/abdomen/pelvis) following protocols and safety standards
- Operate Siemens 128-slice CT scanners and Carestream portable/DR equipment with confidence
- Provide diagnostic radiography including chest x-rays, extremities, and c-arm assisted cases
- Collaborate with in-house radiologists (onsite 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM) and nursing staff to optimize patient care and throughput
- Accurately document exams in Cerner and manage images in Merge PACS
- Float between CT and X-ray areas as needed to support department workflow and handle high-volume days (~100 exams/day)
- Maintain radiation safety, equipment checks, and department protocols to ensure patient and team safety
Qualifications
- Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) required
- California Diagnostic Radiologic Technology & Fluoroscopy authorization required
- BLS and LA City Fire Life Safety certifications required
- Minimum: 1 year CT experience is a MUST; ER/hospital experience is required
- Trauma center experience is a plus
- Comfortable performing both CT and general radiography; IV starts not required (nurses handle IVs in this department)
Knowledge & Skills
- Experienced with Siemens 128-slice CT scanners
- Familiarity with Carestream portable DR and OEC c-arms
- Proficient using Merge PACS and Cerner EMR for imaging and charting
- Strong trauma and acute care imaging skills, with fast, accurate positioning and protocol execution
- Good communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams in a busy ED environment
