Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures with precision and calm
- Prepare and maintain cath lab equipment, ensuring all devices are sterile, functional, and ready for the procedure
- Monitor patient status during procedures and communicate changes clearly to the clinical team
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to optimize patient care and procedural efficiency
- Document procedures, instrument usage, and patient information accurately and promptly
- Support continuous quality improvement efforts and adhere to safety and infection-control protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab (as stated in the job posting)
- Relevant certification or credential for cath lab technologists (RCIS, CVT, or related) preferred
- BLS required; ACLS highly preferred or obtainable upon hire
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced procedural environment with strong teamwork skills
- Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain required licensure for Florida
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or relevant technical certification preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and cath lab instrumentation
- Ability to troubleshoot and prepare specialized imaging and monitoring equipment
- Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills during invasive procedures
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Familiarity with sterile technique and procedural safety standards
