Roles & Responsibilities
- Verify prescriptions and medication orders with precision and care
- Prepare and dispense medications while ensuring patient safety
- Counsel patients and healthcare staff on proper medication use
- Monitor therapy outcomes and collaborate with the care team to optimize treatment
- Maintain accurate records, comply with policies, and support regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Active pharmacist license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience as specified
- Current CPR/BLS certification as required by site policies
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to work night shift hours (8:00 PM - 7:30 AM) for assignment duration
Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree preferred
- State pharmacist licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of medication compounding and dispensing
- Excellent communication skills for patient and team interactions
- Familiarity with pharmacy information systems and electronic medical records
- Ability to perform accurate medication reconciliation and documentation
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving in fast-paced settings
