Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams across a range of studies including abdominal, vascular, pediatric, and intraoperative scans
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment such as GE, Philips, Siemens and SonoSite with accuracy and care
- Document findings promptly in the charting system and communicate results to the care team
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while preparing and positioning patients for procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support efficient patient flow in ED, ICU and portable settings
- Adhere to facility infection control and safety policies while maintaining professional standards
Qualifications
- ARDMS certification preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of ultrasound/sonography experience
- Comfortable floating between like units when needed
- Ability to work occasional weekends and participate in on-call rotation
- Pending licenses are not accepted; active license required
Education
- Associate degree or certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with GE PACS, Philips, Siemens and SonoSite systems
- Proficient in a broad range of exams: abdominal aorta, appendix, biliary tract, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, lung biopsy, intraoperative imaging
- Comfortable performing portable exams in Emergency Department and ICU settings
- Strong documentation skills; charting system experience required (any system acceptable)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
