Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams across adult settings including ER, ICU and portable exams with accuracy and compassion
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment such as GE, Philips, Siemens and SonoSite to produce high-quality images
- Review imaging and provide clear, concise documentation and preliminary findings in the charting system
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and timely diagnostics
- Maintain patient safety and comfort while following facility guidelines, infection control and privacy practices
- Adapt to varying clinical environments including intraoperative and bedside imaging with professionalism
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience (per job requirements)
- ARDMS certification preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) preferred
- Ability to work day shift schedule with occasional weekend coverage
- Pending licensure is not accepted; active state credentials required
- Comfort with floating between like units when requested
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with GE PACS, Philips, Siemens and SonoSite systems
- Experience with general ultrasound exams: abdominal aorta, appendix, biliary tract, gallbladder and liver
- Skilled in specialized exams: breast, intraoperative imaging, lung biopsy, pancreas and pediatric abdomen/pelvis
- Strong documentation/charting skills in electronic record systems
- Ability to perform portable and point-of-care imaging in emergency and ICU settings
