Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams across general and specialty areas (abdominal, pelvic, vascular, pediatric, intraoperative) using GE, Philips, Siemens, and SonoSite equipment
• Provide accurate, timely imaging in fast-paced settings including Emergency Department, ICU, and portable locations
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support patient diagnosis and care
• Document exam findings clearly in the facility charting system (Any) and maintain thorough records
• Maintain imaging equipment, follow safety and infection control protocols, and ensure patient comfort during procedures
• Float between like units as needed and respond professionally to shifting patient care needs
• Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound/sonography experience (per job notes)
• ARDMS preferred (certifications marked with * are preferred)
• BLS required or preferred (job notes reference BL S/BL S skills)
• Active state licensure/certification where required (Pending licenses are not accepted)
• Comfortable performing portable exams and working in ED and ICU settings
• Ability to document using facility charting systems (Any) and follow hospital policies
• Willing to occasionally work weekends and float between like units

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with GE PACS, Philips, Siemens, and SonoSite ultrasound systems
• Skilled in general ultrasound exams: abdominal aorta, appendix, biliary tract, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen
• Experience with specialty exams: breast, intraoperative ultrasound, lung biopsy, pediatric abdomen/pelvis
• Comfortable performing exams in Emergency Department, ICU, and portable/bedside environments
• Strong patient communication, documentation, and time-management skills
