Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns promptly
- Document care accurately and maintain clear, timely records
- Support a dignified, comfortable environment and promote resident independence
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans and improve outcomes
Qualifications
- State-approved GNA certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work night shifts and maintain a reliable schedule
- Clear background check and compliance with facility health requirements
- Compassionate demeanor, strong communication, and teamwork skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited GNA program preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling techniques
- Basic vital signs monitoring and recognition of clinical changes
- Infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols
- Accurate charting and verbal communication with clinical teams
- Time management and the ability to work well under pressure
