Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs and observe residents for changes in condition
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to prevent falls
- Document care accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Build rapport with residents and families to promote dignity and comfort
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to work the assigned night shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Clear background check and required immunizations/tuberculosis screening
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Reliable transportation to and from the Walkersville location
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care and ADL assistance
- Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
- Infection control and safe handling techniques
- Accurate charting and basic documentation
- Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical team
- Time management and ability to prioritize tasks during a night shift
