Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and document vital signs and resident well-being accurately
- Communicate changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
- Support a safe, clean environment by following infection-control practices
- Build positive relationships with residents and their families through respectful care
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (state-required) in good standing
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed GNA training program or equivalent state-approved coursework
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care
- Skill in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling techniques
- Ability to follow care plans and report observations clearly
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
