Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with daily living activities
- Monitor and accurately document vital signs and patient condition changes
- Communicate clearly with nursing staff and report concerns promptly
- Support safe mobility and transfer techniques to protect patients and staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Assist with meals, personal hygiene, and other bedside care tasks with dignity
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification for Maryland (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the scheduled night shift
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification (state-required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care fundamentals and hands-on caregiving skills
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection control and safety best practices
- Good communication and teamwork skills in a clinical setting
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
