Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Monitor residents for changes and report observations to the nursing team
- Assist with meal service and ensure dignity and comfort during dining
- Document care activities accurately and timely in the medical record
- Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support high-quality care
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization/TB requirements
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfort working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM night schedule
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Resident-focused care and strong patient advocacy
- Basic vital sign monitoring and observation skills
- Good communication and teamwork with clinical staff
- Safe lifting and transfer techniques
- Reliable documentation practices and attention to detail
