Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Support a warm, respectful environment that preserves dignity
Qualifications
- GNA certification required (or equivalent state-approved certification)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working on a busy floor
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and ADLs
- Familiarity with infection control and patient safety practices
- Good observational skills to notice patient changes
- Ability to follow care plans and document clearly
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed
