Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Support residents with bathing, dressing, mobility and toileting in a respectful way
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident interactions
- Help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification in the state of Maryland
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Comfortable working the 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM shift
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a warm, patient bedside manner
- Basic clinical skills related to personal care and safe resident handling
- Reliable documentation and charting habits
- Awareness of infection control practices and resident safety protocols
- Time management and ability to work effectively as part of a care team
